Heart Health, Body Weight, and Celiac Disease: What We Know, What We Don’t Know, and What to Eat

Join the Harvard Medical School Celiac Education & Research Program and NCA for the next installment of the “Ask the Experts” series moderated by Sharon Weston, MS, RD, LDN, CSP, FAND, one of the clinical dieticians in our Celiac Disease Program here at Boston Children’s Hospital.

 

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are more prevalent in both females and males with celiac disease as compared to individuals without the disease. Peter H. Green, MD and Jacob Hartz, MD will address several controversial issues in the pediatric and adult celiac populations. Cristian Costas MSc, RD will address how adherence to the gluten-free diet affects the risk for CVD.
